The UCS Mandalorian Set LEGO Fans Have Been Waiting For
LEGO has officially revealed set 75442, the Ultimate Collector Series version of the Mandalorian's N-1 Starfighter, and it is everything collectors have been asking for since Din Djarin first flew that stripped-down Naboo beauty in Season 2. The set launches May 1 2026 through LEGO Insiders Early Access at $249.99 in the US.
At 1,800 pieces, it sits comfortably in the mid-range of UCS builds, more complex than smaller display pieces but nowhere near the time commitment of the Millennium Falcon. That balance makes it genuinely accessible to a wider range of builders rather than just the most dedicated collectors.
The finished model measures 7.5 inches tall, 17.5 inches long and 15.5 inches wide, making it a serious display centrepiece without overwhelming a shelf or cabinet.

Chrome Silver Hull and the Standout Design Details
The most talked-about feature of this set is the heavy use of chromed silver drum-lacquered elements across the hull. The N-1 Starfighter in its Mandalorian incarnation is defined by that reflective, hand-polished finish, and LEGO has clearly prioritised getting that look right rather than cutting corners with flat grey plastic.
The result is a model that catches light in a way most LEGO sets simply do not. If you have a display shelf with any kind of ambient lighting, this ship is going to stand out from every other set around it.
The design pulls from Din Djarin's stripped and modified version of the ship rather than the royal Naboo variant. The differences are subtle but meaningful for fans of the show, and LEGO has clearly done its homework on which version resonates most with the Mandalorian fanbase.

Minifigures and What Comes in the Box
The set includes two minifigures: Din Djarin in full Beskar armour and a Grogu minifigure. For a UCS set, that is a reasonable inclusion. You are not getting a massive crew, but the two characters most associated with the ship are both present.
A printed UCS display plaque is also included, featuring the ship's stats and lore. These plaques have become a staple of the UCS line and add a museum-quality finishing touch to any build on a shelf.
The set does not include any play features beyond display, which is exactly what you want from a UCS release. This is a builder's model and a collector's centrepiece, not a playset.

Launch Week GWPs Make May 1 the Best Time to Buy
LEGO is running two separate gift-with-purchase promotions during the May 1-6 launch window. The first is the 5010320 The Mandalorian and Grogu Display, a free standalone build you receive with your N-1 Starfighter purchase. It gives you a separate display piece for the two characters outside the main ship model.
The second GWP is the 40917 The Darksaber, available free with any Star Wars purchase of $160 or more. It does not have to be the N-1 specifically, so you could stack a smaller pending purchase to hit that threshold if you need to.
Both are available while stocks last, which in practice means the first day or two of launch. If this set is on your list, May 1 is the date to buy, not May 7.

Global Pricing and Where to Buy
Pricing across regions: $249.99 USD, AU$429.99, £229.99, 249.99 EUR, CAD$349.99, SGD$359.90. The set will be available on LEGO.com and through authorised retailers from the Insiders Early Access date onward.
From a price-per-piece perspective it sits on the higher end, which is standard for UCS releases. You are paying for the specialised elements, the chrome finish and the collector packaging, not just raw brick count.
LEGO Insiders members get first access on May 1. If you are not yet an Insiders member, registration is free and it is worth signing up before the launch date to make sure you do not miss the early window.
